Spitfire Mk.VIII SAAF, Eduard 1/72

Recommended Posts

A relaxing built, this time the Weekend kit of Eduard Spitfire. I used the Mk.VIII PE parts and Eduard resin wheels and upper engine cover. Paints and varnishes are by Gunze, the decals are a mix of Eduard and Airfix (insignias from the new Mk.Vc).

No. 1 squadron SAAF machine piloted by Lt. Dave Hastie, Italy 1944 - with one Fw 190 kill.

Very impressive Spitfire. The Eduard Spits are super kits and your’s is a super build.

Cheers Allan

Very nicely done. Beautifully finished.

But I'm sorry, I've always hated those pointy wingtips on HF Spitfires. And drawing attention to them like that...😁
