one in the GB is not enough... actually it would be... but I need to do at least one Frogfoot.... one of my 4 KP/ Kopro/ Smer kits before! the new Zvezda kit hits the stores!

This is the newest release from SMER, same plastic, new?? decals - whatever...

Neomega resin cockpit

Brassin pylons

Balkan Models decals (Macedonian AF??? :) :) )

ResinArt wheels

maybe I have a aftermarket gun somewhere.. can't remember :(

Cool! Glad to see you tackling this one Werner as I've the OEZ boxing of the kit in my stash along with the NeOmega cockpit so will be closely following your progress :)

started cutting some plastic

it is soft in detail and material, kind of smelly when cut... stange!

fit looks good though :)

very nice cockpit detail from Neomega

the Eduard Brassib pylons are very  nice, maybe a bit hard of a contrast to the kits parts....

exciting build you have here: frogfoots rock.

have you tried washing all the plastic, it might be the residue oil left on it?

While the resin is naturally very nice, the kit looks to have a nice level of surface detail to it as well.

Hi Werner,

I see you are well prepared for another great build. I have the same aftermarket bits, but will unleash them on the Monogram kit.

Just a heads-up regarding the Eduard pylons. While they are beautifully detailed, Eduard dropped the ball regarding their shape (which is strange as the 3D renderings on the box are correct ). I think this post in another thread explains it best:

Cheers

oh thanks.... seems I knew already but decided to forget about that ?! (at least I commented in this thread....) seems like some CAD detail did not make it to the printer then unfortuntely... I will see if and how to tackle that :(

cockpit looks better in light blue than sand resin color:

Looking good so far. Plenty of reference pictures on the telly at the moment!

It might be the colour balance of the pictures but is the cockpit really blue? I thought these all had green interiors?

Good progress again Werner. How are the parts fitting together so far?

hi, thanks,

reference pictures :wall::(

..... not so much, although this is planned as an ex Ukrainian Frogfoot in Macedonian service.... I hope not shot down :(

Actually it could be even lighter blue... later Suchoi aircraft have rather a light blue cockpit, not the turqoise green ans on many MiG-21s... this is at least true for Su-17, Su-24, Su-25, Su-27 series...., the MiG-29 turned grey by the way

A nice selection of aftermarket upgrades there Werner. Are you planning to add anything to the wheel bays?
