matto21
Hello everyone, just a few photos of my completed Hawk to share. The model is a borderline tail sitter (interestingly an old boxing of this kit mentions nose weight but the new version I built doesn't and I forgot!) so the base serves a purpose as I can glue it down. Thanks Matt

cpoud117
Lovely results given the rather basic kit and a tricky scheme to paint right!

binbrook87
Very smart indeed. Nice to see the old red white (and later blue) scheme again. Brings back happy memories. 1

Twobad
Nice build with a very crisp paint job. Out of interest I Googled the tail number only to find that this aircraft was eventually written off in a fatal accident at Valley in 1996. It was caused by an aileron control rod being left disconnected after maintenance. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/55472
matto21
@David Womby - thank you very much for the comment! @Twobad - yes, I was aware of the unfortunate history. Ideally, I would have chosen another aircraft to represent but this is the only option catered for on the decal sheet without having to chop the decals up.
Mountain goat
Gorgeous looking Hawk, I agree with above comments on the crispness of the paint job. Really stunning and great choice of subject as well. Jay
