Popular Post Bjorn
Just finished this one: The Revell boxing of the Hasegawa RAF Phantom. An odd subject on my workbench, I seldom build American aircraft, but couldn't resist it in the old British grey/green camouflage. The kit is good for its age, but the air intakes demanded FOD covers (Quickboost). I used Mr. Paint colours. They are lovely to airbrush, but seldom perfect match. I started with the old WWII Dark Green/Dark Sea Grey and mixed them until I was satisfied. I used an Aires cockpit, a challenge to get a good fit, but a necessary improvement compared to the kit parts. Seatbelts were a nightmare, but well worth the effort. Kit decals were not perfect, but good enough. Edit. I just learned that these did not carry Sidewinder rails. Luckily, fit on these were so good that I did not glue them. So these can be removed easily. WIP thread: Thanks for watching! Edited February 21, 2022 by Bjorn 95

Lord Riot
That’s such a beautiful Phantom, perfectly painted! The extra detail really brings it more realism too, not only the aftermarket but how you’ve done that weathering around the cockpit sills. One of the best models of this kit that I’ve seen.

supersonic
Beautiful work & superb paint job, working myself on this kit at the moment, agree concerning the Aires replacement, requires some work but the result as seen in your case is worth the extra mile...... binbrook87
Very VERY nice indeed! Just love the old grey green RAF phantoms, and you've produced a real belter 👍👍 Although it's getting on a bit this kit is really great value for money. Well done Revell for reissuing it. 👏 Edited February 21, 2022 by binbrook87
