JohnDoe
Hey guys, First post since joining. First time trying to build a model aircraft as well. I'm looking for a reliable and preferably cheep source for Balsa Wood. I live in the Far North of Scotland and it seems that Balsa is a little expensive. I'm hoping someone can advise where you can get inexpensive Balsa here in the UK with reasonable postage charges. Also i'm looking for 'Imperial' sizes as many plans are pre metrification or produced in the states. Edited February 18, 2022 by JohnDoe

malpaso
Most of the balsa I've bought recently seems really imperial sizes, just expressed in metric. 0.8mm = 1/32" , 1.6mm=1/16" some suppliers round up or down the mm but i suspect it's mostly cut to imperial.
