Curtiss H-75 A1 Camille Plubeau GC II/4

Recommended Posts

This is the old Hobbycraft kit with a lot of surgery to rectify the many mistakes in shape and detail of this now old buddy. I did follow the great article of my now deceased friend Joël Ducasse, a master Modeller. The plane belongs to one of the best French Ace of the Battle of France, Camille Plubeau from the GC II/4, "Les petits Poucets" he is credited with 13 tallies. Certainly one of the best Armée de l'Air pilot.

Guten Morgen Jean,

it turns out perfect. Especially like this subtle weathering. Nothing overdone, it looks very realistic! And I can only echoe all the other fellows, it’s hard to believe that this is the old Hobbycraft kit. You made a gem out of it!

Cheers

Andy

Looks awefully good Jean. It would be nice to learn where you made improvements.

I do not have this file anymore and my model was built some time ago. I have search on French sites but it is all gone. Sincerely sorry.

Beautiful! Excellent job, very impressive Curtiss. What exactly colors did you use for french camouflage (Gunze, Tamiya)? Great build and finish !

This is what I used

*gris bleu clair. Mélange de 70% du Gunze H 67 et 30% de Gunze H 11 (blanc)
*gris bleu foncé (50% Gunze H 305 + 50% H 53)
*Kaki (Gunze H73),
*Marron (50% H 17 + 50% H 84)

Best regards
