Zigomar Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 This is the old Hobbycraft kit with a lot of surgery to rectify the many mistakes in shape and detail of this now old buddy. I did follow the great article of my now deceased friend Joël Ducasse, a master Modeller. The plane belongs to one of the best French Ace of the Battle of France, Camille Plubeau from the GC II/4, "Les petits Poucets" he is credited with 13 tallies. Certainly one of the best Armée de l'Air pilot. 43A6D012-05EF-468E-9D05-747EB3BD06F2_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 432119A4-2C96-408D-8EB9-43DD2DBC459A_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 83615DA1-8F06-4F7B-B8AA-723EF8D89E47_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr D26CF591-C3E0-42CB-90B0-193227DAAC1F_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr C8E693D8-5422-46C4-9651-B4F1F12D6A33_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 7C684BA9-F403-4FC4-AADA-0394AC642288_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr DF0CAE4E-08C7-4A94-ABA7-A61E24229027_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 5DDED52E-064E-4989-8E2F-4760041C6781_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 4AE40519-2B93-4519-8441-DD666F114ACD_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 54FF8FFE-388B-4810-8C84-4B26B84D7D62_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 58
Wulfman Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 A great build, excellent modelling ! Wulfman
72modeler Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Beautiful in every way! The fuel/oil stains along the fuselage sides below the fillers is especially well done! The H-75 was tailor-made for the French colors and markings! Museum quality build! Mike
Zigomar Posted February 16, 2022 Author Posted February 16, 2022 Thanks folks. I thought it was time to pay tribute to the Curtiss in French hands! They did pretty well indeed!
Wlad Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 @Zigomar, great job. Hard to believe it's the clunky Hobbycraft kit. They sure look good in French colours. Cheers, Wlad
Andy Dyck Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Guten Morgen Jean, it turns out perfect. Especially like this subtle weathering. Nothing overdone, it looks very realistic! And I can only echoe all the other fellows, it’s hard to believe that this is the old Hobbycraft kit. You made a gem out of it! Cheers Andy
Zigomar Posted February 17, 2022 Author Posted February 17, 2022 Once again I am thankful for you comments! You're great people!
Sky Keg Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Jean my friend……..yet another flawless presentation. The Hawk looks great especially with the French markings and colors. Mike
Marek76 Posted February 17, 2022 Posted February 17, 2022 Beautiful! Excellent job, very impressive Curtiss. What exactly colors did you use for french camouflage (Gunze, Tamiya)? Great build and finish !
Cris Garcia Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Lovely Curtiss! The father of the legendary P-40 . Bravo! 👏👏
Toryu Posted February 18, 2022 Posted February 18, 2022 Looks awefully good Jean. It would be nice to learn where you made improvements.
Zigomar Posted February 18, 2022 Author Posted February 18, 2022 I will look in my files and if I find the article I will send it to you. There is a lot to do and I cannot sum up it here. best regards.

I do not have this file anymore and my model was built some time ago. I have search on French sites but it is all gone. Sincerely sorry. 1
