lomasca Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Hi all. I am looking for a solution for cutting my own shape decals for a custom 144 airliner livery. Essentially, ideal would be a decal sheet like you'd get with a kit, but containing just one flat colour (I'm specifically after red, white and silver). It seems like this should be available out there, but i'm struggling to find anything apart from plain inkjet decal paper for printing. Not sure if it's not something you can get or if im just using the right search terms. Help appreciated! Thanks in advance.
Seahawk Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Something like these, maybe? https://www.fantasyprintshop.co.uk/decals/car-decals/a5-block-colour-car-decals/ Or these: https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/index.php?setPerPage=25&manufacturer_id=8115&search_direction=asc&save_search=1&pageID=7
Paul Bradley Posted February 15, 2022 Posted February 15, 2022 Xtradecal do solid colours, but also stripes - which for airliners might be very useful: https://www.hannants.co.uk/search/?manufacturer_id=8274&search_direction=asc&keyword_search=stripes&scale_id=89514
Giorgio N Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 To the manufacturers mentioned above you can add Microscale and Tauromodel
Pin Posted February 22, 2022 Posted February 22, 2022 When I need something like this I simply blow the colour I need on transparent or white decal paper. The advantage is that I may blow as much as I need of exactly the colour that I want.

Spray the interior colour first then when dry overcoat with the exterior colour.
