jackroadkill
Just a quick update: I've sloshed some neutral brown PLW over the airframe in an attempt to tone the whiteness down a bit. It's a bit shiny yet but that can be dealt with.

jackroadkill
This little sod had fought me all the way; I've spent the last few weeks trying to get the undercarriage to stop collapsing. I think I'm there now, but we shall see. I'm at the point where I'm going to get the masks off and an aerial on and I think I'll leave it there. Anyway, here it is, in all its knock-kneed, swollen-ankled, gammy-legged "glory", having the U/C doors attached yet again: Hopefully it won't be another three months until I post again. Cheers, JRK

And, if you follow the kit instructions and usual procedures, it's not much fun. Too late for you folks, but for other reading in this build @Ray_W did some very elegant adjusting and eliminated the issues https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235077259-a-twin-that-did-not-get-away-eduard-148-bf-110c-finished/#elControls_3789423_menu well worth a read just for an overview of problem identification and solving. jackroadkill
Right, it's done, and bloody good riddance to it. A difficult build, and for all the wrong reasons. So there we go - it's finished to some degree or another. As a measure of how much trouble it's been one of the U/C doors fell off again just after these pictures were taken. If I ever recover enough from the trauma of this build to get around to the other Eduard 110 in my stash I'll wire the doors to the fairings, pin the oleo legs to the mounting blocks..... Sod it, I'll just copy what @Ray_W did on his build. So, goodbye and good riddance to this build! Cheers, JRK 7

I must be twisted, I enjoyed my build or probably better put, I enjoyed working out how I might enjoy the build. Still hope to do another one, one day - a G4 would be nice. There are certain builds which make you wonder why you muck about with wee plastic aeroplanes, aren't there? I'm hoping my next builds will be more enjoyable.
