The Spadgent
Welcome to the RFI of my first ever Mustang build. The Revell 1/32 P-51D Mustang. For the 453rd Bomber Group Museum. I will start with what I said in the WIP. "Last year I think it was I was asked if I could help out along with a few other members of our fine parish to build some kits for James Clarey who owns the 453rd Bomber group Museum that @CedB took the Americans ( PC and Cookie ) to when they visited a year or so ago. I agreed and was sent a list to choose from. Like a kid in a toy shop I dived at a 1/32 mustang. I have never built one but did have one in the stash. The one I was sent was the Revell kit that I do already have which might make you think I'm lining up to a double build. Well think again. I'm done with that CraZynEss. There are a few PE bits and bobs that Jim sent me that I will have to choose which ones to use as they were doubled. There were no belts either but I've sorted that as you will see if you stick around. I'm planning an Out of the box build. But as we all know that is never the case. " Now at last I have managed to get some shots before she gets taken down to the museum and out of my life for good. I think she turned out rather well. I do hop James is happy with the results. Here we go then. And there you are. There is a trip planned to take the kits up to the museum in June. See you all there. ( you know who you are ) Johnny. 51

Terry1954
Awesome build Johnny! I followed the WIP and was so very impressed at your skills and artistry and this has turned out to be a very special tribute indeed. The museum will be very proud I'm sure, and the build does justice to those brave airmen that flew these aircraft back in the day. Well done sir! CedB
Better late than never (they say) - but what do they know? Stunning Jont, a lovely model with your usual level of precision on the detailing. She'll be a worthy addition to the museum. Great job. 1

Whitewolf
As many have said above, a real museum quality model, and fitting tribute to the guys who flew them! I'm sure visitors to the museum will greatly appreciate the fine models which bring history to life
