Of Models & Monsters Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 The Gladiator's cockpit is fully assembled, just waiting for the fuselage halves to embrace. 4
bigbadbadge Posted February 6, 2022 Posted February 6, 2022 The cockpit details look good, does the PE come with this kit? Chris

Of Models & Monsters Posted February 25, 2022 Author Posted February 25, 2022 I may have skipped ahead a little with the progress photos, the fuselage, wings and rigging wires (yes, I glued one side of the rigging wires prior to painting) and after my first attempt at painted roundels with my Aichi D3A, I ramped up the difficulty and tried painting RAF roundels as well as ID lettering. 5
bigbadbadge Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 The painted roundels look great , I like the paint it is looking very weathered. Chris 1
thommo Posted February 25, 2022 Posted February 25, 2022 Damn that looks good! How did you do the masking for the letters & roundels? I'd be cutting masks using my Cricut Maker machine for those.....though I soon have to do some tiny lettering in 1/72 using the machine which will be interesting.

I don't mean to brag but I actually cut them by hand. I have an olfa compass cutter but I can't for the life of me cut a complete circle with it, so I just grabbed my hobby knife with a spinnable blade and did it myself. 1
