Titan Model Kits produces plastic model aircraft kits in 1/72 and 1/48 scales using CAD designed models, precision CNC-machined tooling, and ultra-high-resolution 3D-printing. Kits are composed of sturdy, modern vacformed parts, and intricately detailed resin parts.  Subjects that you won't find elsewhere.

BTW: markings/decals?

The Draw Decal site says: "If by chance you see a scale you want that is not listed, please drop us a note and will be happy to quickly add it."

https://www.drawdecal.com/blog/

If your preferred subject features a white fuselage, that should make things reasonably straight forward. Although looking at the "About Us" page, non-white backgrounds shouldn't be a problem.

I wouldn't expect such a bespoke sheet to be cheap, but if Draw Decal impose a £135 minimum value for UK orders:

https://www.drawdecal.com/united-kingdom-vat-tax/

That requirement would be easier to achieve.

They only ship via UPS so prepare for a hefty price! Last time I asked for UPS instead of USPS it would costed me  twice as much (no 77 DOLLAR but 150 Dollar for shipping an airbrush😳) just opted for the USPS then…

Anyhow these subjects are looking very nice and of high quality so pricing is reasonable given what you get!

cheers, Jan

Not sure if decal windows will look good enough in 1/72, drilling and cutting out all the windows on an A330 will probably warrant making a tool to punch them out.

Drawdecals charged me 15USD in shipping for a couple of sheets in 1/72 and 1/144 to Norway - so it`s not that bad for the rest of Europe.

The price for the kit isn`t that scary, it depends on what shipping will cost - gonna be a large box.

This is very interesting to me.  I don't do airliners but the method they are using to mix 3D printed details with major pieces in vacuform would open up a large number of kits in 1/48 from unlikely to possible.  Just one example this would work very well for a B-52.  Good luck to them!

The price is adequate for something one will play with for a three months at minimum! How much can you pay for a full joy evening? And multiplicate it by 100, as it will be 100 evenings! :)

The landing gear look great!  I wonder how well they will withstand the weight of the model?

Hi,

Alan Wilson (Icelandic Fine Arts) made resin landing gears for his resin 1/48 Vulcan.

He insists these are stronger than white metal equivalents.

Cheers,

Very interesting, it's about time someone bought us a new range of 1/72nd large aircraft. Vacform/high-quality 3D printed parts are fine by me and after producing a fairly high-volume of aftermarket 3D resin parts and kits for the past few years, the prices are understandable, especially taking into account the size and complexity. (The undercarriages should be OK, depending on the resin type used). Personally, the C-5 and L-1011 pique my interest. Look forward to seeing how these projects progress.

I am particularly excited about military versions of these aircrafts like the Voyager and C-5 (finally!).

Me too, I’ve built the resin 1:72 Anigrand C-5A kit and it was quite a struggle..

Now I see this excellent CAD designed accurate models, I’m sure they will design more military versions (what about a finally accurate 1:72 Yal-1A, KC-10, or maybe finally a C-17…..)

I enthusiastically support this project!  Although starting off with maybe a 1/72 727-100 or DC-9 would be more practical from a business point of view.  I’ll take a 1/72 Tristar please and maybe a 757 too.  And if a 1/72 DC-10 comes along later, even better!  I have no room to put them but I’ve never let such minor problems stop me before….

Best regards….Duncan

Already planning how to get the packages past the wife…

Titan Model Kits

Jean Chan I do plan to issue some of the 1/72 kits as 1/48 as well. But mostly I have some different 1/48 subjects in development.

What an exciting time for modelling this is. If you've got the room for large models then I'm sure these are going to look fabulous.

I've got a bit of a soft spot for a Galaxy (we came back from the Gulf on the older engined version - not sure if they cater for those or if it's just the C-5M?) but if my maths is right, it'd be larger than the Border Lanc and about the same length as a Revell Type IXC U-boat but almost as wide too (!).

Mind you, it could look really nice 'climbing out' suspended from a ceiling (could almost hear those engines just looking at it).
