I thoroughly enjoyed this build.

My second Sword kit and it went together really well.

You need to take a little care but it's worth it.

Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey.

Painted with ColourCoats Sky Type S, Extra Dark Sea Grey, FAA/RAF Yellow, Tamiya Nato Black, Rubber Black, Revell Flat Aluminium, Xtreme Metals Steel, Burnt Metaland Alclad Pale Burnt Metal

Washed lighly with Flory Dark Dirt and Citadel Nuln Oil

Finished with Windsor & Newton Satin Varnish.

Aerial rigged with Uschi Van Der Rosten Standard Rigging.

Best Gannet 3 build I've seen. Reckon its worth digging mine out of the stash as a mojo restorer.

Another beauty Alistair. The delicate weathering is masterly.

Craig.

Thanks Craig,

I'm just winging it but seem to get lucky most of the time.

A stunningly good build!

Your skill and precision is quite clear in the result. :clap2::clap2:

Not my idea of a "beautiful" aircraft but definitely an interesting one to behold.

It was a pleasure to follow this build Alistair, and equally so to see the finished result.  Congratulations on a very fine model indeed.

Thanks Mark for the help, support and encouragement during this.

Love the Gannet, and love your build. Actually a beautiful aircraft in my eyes, solid, purposeful-looking with an appearance dictated by function.

My wish list just got longer!

Q

Thanks Q,

I agree with you and remember seeing the Gannet on Sailor when it was first broadcast and liking her then.

Of course I was just in the living room. My Dad was the one watching but my head snapped up when I heard Pink Floyd playing and I was hooked after that.

Cheers,

Alistair
