Popular Post AliGauld
I thoroughly enjoyed this build. My second Sword kit and it went together really well. You need to take a little care but it's worth it. Primed with Tamiya Neutral Grey. Painted with ColourCoats Sky Type S, Extra Dark Sea Grey, FAA/RAF Yellow, Tamiya Nato Black, Rubber Black, Revell Flat Aluminium, Xtreme Metals Steel, Burnt Metaland Alclad Pale Burnt Metal Washed lighly with Flory Dark Dirt and Citadel Nuln Oil Finished with Windsor & Newton Satin Varnish. Aerial rigged with Uschi Van Der Rosten Standard Rigging. Thanks for looking, Cheers, Alistair 84
Spookytooth
An ungainly looking bird Alistair, but truly British. Nice one mate, she looks great. Simon. PS, I have the Revell T5 in the stash somewhere. 1

It's a great kit and certainly an easier build than reviews would have you believe. 47 minutes ago, bigbadbadge said: Wonderful Gannet Alistair, you've done a cracking job on this beauty. Andy Young
Lovely Gannet - nice to see the AEW version, it makes an ugly aircraft (in the best possible sense) look even more ungainly. That's a cracking job you've done there. I keep looking at my vacform AEW conversion and keep putting it away again so it looks like this may be the way to go!. Col Walter E Kurtz
Absolutely fantastic! I have a real soft spot for this ugly looking bird! The washes you used give it a very subtle patina which I find very realistic! Well done and thanks for showing this masterful rendition! Col Walter E Kurtz
My pleasure ! Your method worked a treat! I looked up Nuln oil Maybe ill give this a try in the future . Just lookIng to try something that's not Panel line black to highlight panel lines etc . I agree Less is More where weathering is concerned.
