Hobby 2000 1/72 Douglas A-4F Skyhawk Pictures updated

This is the Hobby 2000 rebox of the Fujimi 1/72 Douglas A-4F Skyhawk kit. Mostly out-of-the-box with the exception of an Eduard interior and MILSPEC decals.

I dropped the slats, lowered the rear flaps and cracked open the speed brakes which is how you usually see them when the aircraft is parked. The MILSPEC sheet was their 72-017 that also comes with their 72-010 stencil sheets. They worked excellently with no problems or silvering. The Hobby 2000 kit comes with a canopy mask that consists of a black masking that is a little thicker then the Eduard ones and that fit perfectly

Sorry, can't see the pictures :(

Sorry, I have bee using Village Photo for years since the Photobucket fiasco. It looks like their security certificate expires Jan 24 and they haven't renewed it, so not secure. I tried switching to imgbox. Please let me know if you can see them now.

How did you get the IMGphotos loaded onto here please hsr?

I upload them to a gallery and then open the gallery. This will show me the thumbnails. I click on a thumbnail to open that image. I then right click the image and select Copy Image Address from the popup menu. I then go to the Britmodeller thread and do a right click Paste. After a few seconds the image should appear.

Thanks

But it's thumbnail size!

When you click on the thumbnail it should open another tab or window with the full size image in it. That is where you do the right click Copy Image Address. That should give you the full size image.

Sorry to butt into this thread of your latest build, but I just bobbed in and noticed that the pics were loading a bit slowly. :hmmm:

I tested some of the pics, and they were 2,800 px across, which is huge when posting up on the forum.  You should be aiming to save your files to around 200-250kb optimally, give or take a bit.  To accomplish this, you can reduce the size of your pics, as anything over the recommended 1024 x 800 maximum we advise, is wasted bandwidth and storage space usage.  Most people view these pics on phones, tablets and 1080p screens, so huge photos of 2,800 x 1,300 px will have to be shrunk down by the forum software (load on the server and delay for the user), as well as the extra bandwidth that is uses up (2x what's necessary in your case).

The downsides of this from a viewer's point of view is the waiting time before you can view the pics, and some people might get bored and click away.  From the server's point of view, it's wasteful of bandwidth, storage size (we cache images to improve speed), and it's also wasteful of the server's resources, which means a slower experience for all of us.

This isn't meant as a "telling off" BTW, more of a bit of useful advice to help you as well as help us.  If you can size your pics to the recommended limits, we'll be really happy, and so will the members :)

Keep up the good work

I'll keep that in mind for the future.

See them fine now, thanks.

Nice collection of scooters. I started a Airfix one a while back, but got sidetracked with other stuff. Must get it out and finished off. Thanks for some inspiration :)

The new tool Airfix A-4B is one of the best kits I have ever built:dalek1:
