Back in the Saddle
You’ve really made a good job with that old kit! Great choice of livery too - especially when photographed with the Comet.👍
Maginot
Skillfully modified for an outstanding result. The paintwork is really schmick.
rob Lyttle
A great looking result. It's good to know that it can be knocked into shape and thanks for the steer on what might be required. I picked up the Vintage Classics reissue recently and I've been wondering. These oldies usually /always need some upgrades. So this is a great example to find. I agree, I'd rather be practicing some plastic bashing (and still have a shed load of money in my pocket!). I think I'd be too nervous starting into some of the expensive new kits!
Adam Poultney
What is the reason for the asymmetry in the fairings? Was it to do with the offset nose gear?

Was it to do with the offset nose gear? Hi Adam, the reason is very boring I'm afraid. It was that the port side had a cargo door just behind the trailing edge of the wing, so the fairing was truncated to avoid going over it. Later Tridents had it designed out, and thus had matching fairings. Cheers John

Baldy
Superb work John - another of those kits I built (sort of) in my youth. Never looked half as good as this though! Cheers Malcolm
