Ok I've  got over the hang over sorted ,the decals are done , I've just dabbed microsol on them, some went down well , some unfortunately  shattered, i spent a lot of time putting them back together , I'm hoping the topcoats and washes will hide the breaks

What a trooper!

Forcing oneself to battle through the red wine haze to produce such super results. I've noticed there is a sweet spot when modelling and drinking, unfortunately for me it's usually to late........

The red "keep off" areas atop the radiators look to have gone down nicely, always the likeliest of the decals to be problematic I used to find.

Nice work

😋 a sweet spot indeed, and like you say it's  difficult to know when you're in it ,or past it , those radiator decals stuck  like the proverbial "doggy do" to a blanket. The tamiya ones wouldn't have stood a chance, they're as thick as cardboard

I generally find if I'm flying something around the room I'm probably "past it".

Perhaps if it was an AFV but otherwise I'm doing that in celebration of finally getting enough bits together to resemble an aircraft model

I've  finally got round to finishing off the mossie after a gentle couple of nuges by @Jasper dog, cheers darryl, decals were very slightly better than useless ,the starboard side letters breaking into about 5 pieces, thanks to all who've liked and commented

Cheers all

Well done Glynn, another cracking result despite the decal issues.

I really like the variation in tone and the weathering, excellent work mate.

Thanks craig 👍

Excellent and well worth the wait!:frantic:

The faded grey/green looks wonderful as does the accumulation of dirt and grime.

If I didn't have a list of builds to do and finish you'd have inspired me to dig one out of the loft.

Superb.
