Pouln
Amazing. Your fittings etc makes this a very realistic model. Can’t actually see that it is a model
PROPELLER
Thank you very much gentlemen! Well, ignition system is almost completed... The distributor, a complex Part! Complex? Next, generator... Dan
Noel Smith
This is making very impressive progress since I last visited this post. Superb engine detailing!
Chief Cohiba
This is a great take on one of my ever favourite bikes - I often thought about getting the Guiloy model, but was shying away due to those a bit blunt details. It's great, for a modell, but once you made one of those 1/6 Tamiya FLH - you know what i mean. Will follow with interest, a bit more so as I plan to reanimate my 1:1 copy from the far east the next days. But - this is really a wonderful idea and a great piece, I'm truly uber-impressed! Will follow from now on, if I may...
PROPELLER
Thanks guy's! To Chief Cigar, I don't really understand... Do you have an Indian ? And you are right, but Tamiya don't know Indian, only Harley! Well, electrical system, more but not the end... Generator, pulleys, belt an so one: An Indian's joke for modellers: You can't see the battery, it's a case, and inside of course the battery... The big pulley is visible... Of course, the guard hied all, on tis side! But on the other side, the big pulley is still visible... A view of an old mad man. No, unfortunately(or fortunately, depends on the perspective) I don't own an Indian, just the Kawasaki recreation from years ago, which I try to reanimate right now. It's been some six years off, so I expect some work here. I have the Tamiya FLH in my stast (and probably will continue some day), so thought it takes too much work to bring the Guiloy on the standard that you show here. I'm really impressed! PROPELLER
Thanks Andy and the "Chief"! On an Indian, wires are not a problem. Every where, hidden or not, so the jungle... On the model too! The gas tank is there for the fun...But... Huge the regulator! But in the reality too... The regulator, bare! Well, it's time to show you what I try to approach... (Only from what I've heard these are true beasts to ride. Never did myself, though, I had once or twice the chance, but respect is much to high). PROPELLER
Thank you very much Chief, much appreciated... Today, carburetor. Which carburetor? Behind the air cleaner of course! You can't see it, yes I know, but he's there: And complete... Some work on it, hidden but it's for my own pleasure... Dan.

Noel Smith
This model has already got the 'WOW' factor and not finished yet. Brilliant! Just loving all the precision engineered enhancements. In 1/6th scale it is certainly going to be a real conversation piece when finished.
PROPELLER
Thank you vey much gentlemen! The 1/6 scale, especially for a motorbike, it's for me the ideal scale. Of course, you can't forget anything... Today front crash bar. Guyloy's one: And mine... All chrome plated parts are waiting for Alclad paint. In the real life... CrazyCrank
Very impressive and outstanding job, Daniel.....but, I believed you hate paint ? why not chrome plating ?
PROPELLER
Thank you Thierry and you are right! But until today I have not had any problem with Alclad chrome paint. And I do love the old fashion look of this "chrome", not too shiny... Homemade is my credo too! Well, today exhaust line, dry fitted of course... A mix plastic/Guiloy and brass, not a Guikoy's piece! I'm waiting for a new camera. IPhone shots are not really easy, for me! Dan.

PROPELLER
Thank you very much Rob... Well, today, new camera, new background and new shocks absorbers. Guiloy's one are too fat! On the left, never any secret, metal, jeweller's saw and sweat before welding! Dan.

PROPELLER
Thanks Andy, it's a pleasure... to read this! Come back to the shack absorbers. To be able to mount and dismantle them I take the same way of the real life, but they are not functional! And to be closer with the real thing, some change is needed: The flange with the chain adjuster, wait a moment, you will understand... Working with the Guiloy's aid... Brake arm: Right side, all is in place! The brake arm will be chromed, later: Remember, the chain adjuster: Dan.
bigbadbadge
Wow what amazing work, what a great idea starting with a display model and rebuilding it to a very high standard. This is wonderful. Chris
PROPELLER
Thanks a lot Chris, your enthusiasm is a real pleasure! Today, chain adjuster, again... but left side! Dan.
PROPELLER
Well, I totally omitted to show you the chain adjusters of the real motorbike... As if everybody had an Indian in his garage! Left side: Remember, mine... Right side: Mine too... Now, if you are not motorbike mechanic, you'll never see that: And the chain sprocket? I don't decided yet. Easy way or very complicated one, for few visible centimeters? See the third pic... Dan.
