1/6 Indian Chief 1948

Stunning work, Dan. So much real life details. I imagine that when you are finished with this, you can park it next to the real thing and ask for votes, which is which. I guess many will then choose your model for the real thing.

This just gets better and better.......a silk purse out of......a faded

silk purse !!

Tried to build Italeri's Harley WLC into a replica of one I owned in the  60's.........but never came close to anything like this !

As others have said, stunning workmanship !

Thank you very much Poul and Rog! Much appreciated, always...

Today, hubs, fortunately front and rear are similar.

But in two parts.

Why? An easier way to make some holes(!) ...

Sorry for the bad pic.

And why hubs? I have to do them for rear settings and after, for the fork.

So, next... fork!

It is always as beautiful as simple (2 adjectives that go well together) and masterfully done. I remain in awe Dan 👏

Thank you gentlemen!

Without my lathe and my mill, I'm nothing...

Today, small history about hubs and settings. Its better when the

wheels are centered I suppose!

Hubs in black tie...

uli7m9.jpg

Settings...  Note the spacer on the right, between hub and chain ajuster as the 1/1 motorbike!

First step on the fork:

That's all folks!

You are right Ghost. Holes are impossible to do with a drill first on the angled side of the hub.

Fortunately I have the good size center drill!

Every time I forgot to show you the real life.

So, let's go...

Front/rear hubs are the same:

Then, on the fork, they are not alone...

Brake side:

And the other side:

I talked about settings.

All is now in place...

Thank you very much to all, really motivating of course...

Today the beginning of a long way, hard but a passionate one!

Ladies and gentlemen I introduce an Indian's fork:

The Guiloy's one was not ridiculous, but _ are you surprised?_ I want be closer to the real thing...

First step:

Easy? Not really, To maintain this kind of piece in a vice, it's not evident. All the holes must be in the same parallel axel...

I said it's the beginning!

Thank you Chris and Gary...

It's seems that all pics have been erased. Why, I don't know. My uploader collapsed?
Another one now...

First, some work on the front brake flange, with brake arm and the delicious speedometer drive:

And now, one more a time, work on the fork...

Avoid pernicious traps first!

Now, we can add some parts:

22050506454421392417885237.jpg

The fabulous "triple tree"...

Next? Fork may be...

Beautiful craftsman ship.

I thought I was putting a lot of time into my build. This is off the scale though

You must be equally excited and sad to be covering all that amazing brass work with paint

Stunning work Dan, every little detail that you add is a masterpiece on it's own.

Très impressionant, chaque pièce que tu fais, est un chef-d'oeuvre. Vivement la suite.

Cordialement

Pascal
