Chief Cohiba Posted March 23, 2022 Share Posted March 23, 2022 This is a great take on one of my ever favourite bikes - I often thought about getting the Guiloy model, but was shying away due to those a bit blunt details. It's great, for a modell, but once you made one of those 1/6 Tamiya FLH - you know what i mean. Will follow with interest, a bit more so as I plan to reanimate my 1:1 copy from the far east the next days. But - this is really a wonderful idea and a great piece, I'm truly uber-impressed! Generator, pulleys, belt an so one: An Indian's joke for modellers: You can't see the battery, it's a case, and inside of course the battery... The big pulley is visible... Of course, the guard hied all, on tis side! But on the other side, the big pulley is still visible... A view of an old mad man. No, unfortunately(or fortunately, depends on the perspective) I don't own an Indian, just the Kawasaki recreation from years ago, which I try to reanimate right now. It's been some six years off, so I expect some work here. I have the Tamiya FLH in my stast (and probably will continue some day), so thought it takes too much work to bring the Guiloy on the standard that you show here. I'm really impressed! And I do love the old fashion look of this "chrome", not too shiny... Homemade is my credo too! Well, today exhaust line, dry fitted of course... A mix plastic/Guiloy and brass, not a Guikoy's piece! To be able to mount and dismantle them I take the same way of the real life, but they are not functional! And to be closer with the real thing, some change is needed: The flange with the chain adjuster, wait a moment, you will understand... Working with the Guiloy's aid...
