https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/BMA48004?result-token=PH6g4

  • brewerjerry changed the title to 1:48 HK halifax

https://www.blackbirdmodels.co.uk/148th-scale-conversions--accessories-382-c.asp

Good luck to find the Fonderie Miniature Halifax and then have fun building it...

Or maybe for the old Sanger vacuform Halifax?

Blackbird Models also proposes a 1/48th 100 Group Stirling Conversion set and I don't know another 1/48th Stirling kit than the Sanger one:

Wait and see

Perhaps it's just a typo.

Yes its a pig, I could not even find one where the fuselage halves were the same length. @bentwaters81tfw did a good job on his.

that would be great news, I could build my dads aircraft from 298 squadron. I've had the FM kit in the stash for about a decade and never plucked up the courage to start it !  Hopefully it would be followed by a 1/32 version !

Don't want to spoil the party, but my friend who works for HK Models, didn't hear anything about such project...

  thanks for the info

Or it could be HK are playing cards close to chest? they have been stung by other manufacturers release announcements before ... you are probably right though.

But I like what HK do, they listen and are receptive to feedback and they amend when needed, they have ventured into 1/48 WW2 bombers with the B-17's and Lancs now, a HK Halifax makes perfect sense to me, then perhaps even a Stirling, a Hampden too.

I'm wondering about Hannant's futures releases on more than this Blackbird is listed with a MK.IV conversion for the Airfix Blenheim in 1/48. Nothing from them or Blackbird when I messaged them about it...

A 1/48 Stirling would be a great release for Hk. I think ICM will give us a Hampden soon enough for some reason.

There is no thread as it's just speculation on a possible release based on recent offerings. Let us both send positive waves towards ICM central.
