Michael M
There should be door at the back, as you did. I didn't bother
Michael M
Not much left... ... just boats, dudes and rigging. Cheers Mick

foeth
Indeed, the colour modulation on the white turrets is particularly effective. 👍
Michael M
I'm glad you like it. My first attempt at white and yellow I did some black before, but not in that quantity.
Micha_Pol
Totally rocks. Victorian color schemes are simply the best. That will be a dream of an ironclad.
Michael M
I agree wholeheartedly Boats and some of the rigging... Cheers Mick
Michael M
Ship itself is DONE. Time to add some 'accessories' I hope to post RFI by the end of the week Cheers Mick
Courageous
I'm liking that...a lot. What are you using for the rigging as I'm liking the tight and slack lines? Stuart
Michael M
It's a bit of everything Stuart. There's sprues on the boats, stainless steel wire and 20 denier thread. Saggy ones are made of wire, as some of the straight ones as well.
ArnoldAmbrose
Gidday Mick, she's beautifully done. Removing the muzzle cover from that rearmost gun before firing must have been awkward. Yeah, I know, train the turret forward. 😁 This is an era of warship that's not often modelled, AFAIK. Very well done. Regards, Jeff.

Bertie McBoatface
I really like the lived in look. The ship burned coal! That was very entertaining. Not in the least tempting though. i could never work in that scale.
Norseman 3:16
I went back to see the WIP after admiring your RFI. I really admire your painting skills. To me, you have captured a perfectly distressed hull and the smoke affected areas are superb. I am a newbie to ships and wanted to ask a question that may be obvious to many, but not me. Why did you dip the model in brake fluid? Wilson
Michael M
Thanks, it's always nice to read comments like that. It makes me blush Brake fluid bath was necessary, because I have 'inherited' a model that was already started. I stripped off the paint with it. There wasn't much done, but the hull was glued together and painted. Edited May 13, 2022 by Michael M
