MRMRL
Another posting for the archive of work I completed last year before joining the site, this time it's my Tamiya 1/35 T-55A. I have to say I love the Tamiya armour kits, as a ship modeller they are a lovely way to break up the painstaking fiddliness of 1/350 photo-etch AA guns etc. I will move on to more complex kits, but I do enjoy the balance of easy construction against detail that these kits provide, especially for the money, the older of them are pretty gentle on the pocket compared to some of the more recent super-detailed kits. As I've mentioned in previous posts for armour, I haven't got my head around weathering yet, learning not to paint too much took me a long time. I think I've reached a good understanding of what to paint and what not to paint, and I'm adding simple washes. I may add better effects later (mud etc), but I'm not at the point where I'm ready to take the time to learn these yet. That being said, this is one of the best results I've managed to date. Anyway, enough ramble, here's the photos, hope you enjoy...
FrancisGL
Hi MRMRL, It looks like a solid "soviet" piece of metal, clean but convincing. If anything, the photos are somewhat dark... or not? When you decide to do more elaborate processes, you will discover how fun...lol Cheers and TC Francis.👍
Lazy Modeller
Its seems very nice, but the photos are way to dark to see anything. Cheers Lazy modeler
MRMRL
Hi @FrancisGL and @Lazy Modeller, I agree looking at them now, the pictures are a bit too dark, I'll try and add some more in better light at some point.

MRMRL
Thank you everyone for your likes and comments. I haven't taken better photos yet. I am experimenting with some additional weathering effects on models I'm less proud of, if they turn out well I'll begin doing some retouching for more models in time, so I'll add an update at that point.
