rockpopandchips
Small scale resin 3d print that I will make into a small diorama, on the river with a tree. The figure was missing his paddle end, so I did my best to make a new one. Quite pleased with how the cats turned out, as per normal toatly winging it.
rockpopandchips
Some scrap copper wire, road grit , a scrap of wood and some gorilla glue, we get a very organic looking bit of river bank.

gingerbob
This is cool! But... is there a backstory in your mind?
Bertie McBoatface
The guy in the boat reminds me of Brent from Goobertown. Good painting there. 1

Just check and it is him, free file on his channel. Not sure this allowed so it might get taken down.

I wanted to post cryptically like that to tease the scale modellers here. 🤣 It was the cats and the canoe that gave him away.
gingerbob
See, the reason I asked about the backstory is that it seems counter-intuitive to go for a lovely paddle with a bunch of cats. Then again, I haven't actually tried it myself. Incidentally, the figure area (of Britmodeller, and modelling) is foreign territory for me. bob

It's called Goobertown Hobbies and run by a guy called Brent. Brent is an interesting character, he has hair to his waist, is a seriously clever chemist, loves his cats which often appear on the videos, is interested in Vikings and takes canoeing holidays around North America. A friend and fellow YouTuber (I can't remember which one) did this sculpt of him and the cats as a bit of fun, and to promote his studio. So that's your back story. Follow the YouTube link above for more information or to download a copy of the 3D print file.

rockpopandchips
Cheers for the interest everyone. Made a bit of progress with this, first added a fee pebbles from the garden, made a plastic fish and filling the base with resin. It wasn't quite set enough to hold the boat so I had to support it, and it has moved out of centre now, but it's not to bad.

Hunter Rose
Nice water! One tip for keeping things in place is to glue left over clear sprue as supports. Great job with the fish too!

I hope the plastic lids comes off the resin next but it's going to be another day before I try pulling it off.
rockpopandchips
Removed the plastic container and I'm happy with the look, I think I should have added a bit of green to the water but this will do. Made a start on the green as well.
rockpopandchips
Built the base today, finished the tree and have started to add a bit of a bow wave. Once the player I'd dry I will add a little white paint.
