Smudge
Yes, well done to Italeri. On many a modellers wish list for quite some time now. Looking forward to getting one of these.

Des
That looks like very similar artwork to the Italeri 'New This Year' AMX that appeared in their catalogues many , many years ago before the 2019 mention and perhaps even pre-dating internet modeling sites , think that there was to be a twin-seater as well back then as well.

Giorgio N
I am of course glad to see the announcement, although I'll be really happy when I see the kit on the shelves... I've heard some rumours but I do not know how much truth is in them, in any case the rumours seem to be positive... for what they are worth. I'll not sell my Cunardmodel resin kit yet though !
Paolo6691
I will only believe they released the kit when the kit will be in my hands, same as the HH-101
Neil Lambess
Didn't airfix announce one in the 80s?? If ever an aircraft kit was cursed it's this one (alongside the airfix nautillis)
Graham Boak
I don't recall that - they did announce the ACA which never appeared , but then neither did the aircraft, at least in that incarnation. (It became Eurofighter,)

Cheers, Andre Note the Italeri version in their RF-104G update to the venerable ESCI Starfighter tooling is a later version, with the enlarged forward section/downward angle of the bottom keel similar to this: http://web.tiscali.it/aviacolor/72904.html The standard version as produced by DACO has a constant cross-section central section. Not sure if the AMX used/uses both versions or not, I knoe the standard type was used on F-16s by the Netherlands and Belgium. https://www.scalemates.com/kits/daco-products-dcc7205-orpheus-recce-pod-dutch-and-italian-f-104g-dutch-and-belgian-f-16a--100715

AMX single seat!! That’s got to mean there will be an AMX two seat. Just AMX would do if it didn’t need to be distinguished from another kit —-Jaguar single seat, Jaguar twin seat, etc, etc.
Grayhawk
Thanks for all the input on the Orpheus recce pod. I Knew about the F-104G kit having one but I didn't realize the dramatic difference in the variants of the Pod. Very interesting.
cf18hornet
This is fantastic! In 2000 I flew from Canada to attend RIAT and saw the AMX for the first time and instantly loved the looks of it. I’ll definitely be getting this kit as soon as it’s available.
