Hasegawa Jaguar Gr.1/A as an A of EC.4/11 'Jura' during the Gulf War

Wip thread here.

A build i enjoyed up to the end when I felt that some of the short comings, iffy fit & poor load out selection conspired to suck some of the fun out of the finishing stages, some life issues rounded that off some more but never the less, here it is & I'm reasonably happy with it, I like the over all effect much more the the detail bits.

My fav shot, reminiscent of some of the reference photos I had, the weathering on the air brake is unintentional, only noticed after editing the shot.

Made it with 1 day to spare!

Took me 4 months, but got it done, and it's a beast of a kit, but I found a place on the shelf that it can just about squeeze in to! The scheme is a real stand-out one, even if it took ages to paint.

Kit: Eduard (Zvezda) Hind D
Scale: 1:48
Paint & Weathering: Airbrushed with Mr. Paint and Tamiya, Weathered with Oils.
Extras: DN Models Mask Set

Sopwith TF1 ( Trench fighter) the original ground attack plane. Basically a Sopwith Camel

with the twin Vickers removed, 300lbs of armour plate around the pilot and fuel tank, and three Lewis guns, two mounted to fire obliquely downwards and one over the upper wing. Only the prototype was built.

1/48 Mr Craft kit with new upper decking, homemade resin engine and wheels, Lewis’s from the spares box and a new homemade cowl.

Sopwith TF2 (trench fighter) Salamander, the first purpose designed ground attack aircraft ( not the Junkers JI ( a common misconception btw) which was designed for army cooperation not ground  attack)

Developed at the same time as the Sopwith Snipe it shares some components but has a double bay wing and 600lbs of armour plate around the pilot and fuel tank.

Although it went into series production very few saw action during the war. I can only imagine that even with the higher powered BR2 engine all that armour must have made it a chore to fly.

1/48 Scratch built. As you can see I’ve chosen to model one of the experimental camouflage patterns.
