treker_ed Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 How long has this been asked for? And now they give us one!
BD757 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Looks a great kit and my pre-order is already in! I can only assume a S.2B boxing is not too far off! I may get the old tooling out of the stash for a crack before this arrives! Great work by the Airfix team!
marky sparky Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Great news............................but................................. £72? wow 2 1 5
John B (Sc) Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Very nice I'm sure, but at that price I shall stick with my existing kits ! Edited January 10, 2022 by John B (Sc) 2
wadeocu Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Absolutely thrilled with this news. Also delighted to see that the maritime strike role is fully embraced with he inclusion of the complete Martel suite (TVs and ARs). Just wow!
WV908 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) A bit pricey but fantastic news regardless. The cads are a joy to look at. I can't wait to get one. Cheers, WV908 Edited January 10, 2022 by WV908 Re-constituted my comment as I was being a sour puss about the price 1

When you have ‘‘em that will be quite understandable….the price is pretty steep but I would love an S2B in the future ! It also gives me the time to save a little hard cash to buy one 😗😗😗 2
Thomas V. Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Long overdue subject, will buy multiples, but new pricing for Series 12 is eye-watering. 2
Filler Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 It might not be cheap, but it's a hell of a lot better than a £90 Buy It Now bendy Buccaneer on eBay. I too must wait and hope an S.2B is not far behind though. Also fancy it'll be available sub £70 from a few online retailers when it's released. 3
Adam Poultney Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Four very similar grey schemes and a £72 price tag.... I'll pass on this one. If it were an S1 then I would be tempted, maybe even at that price, but as it is, not for me. 1
Richard123 Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 (edited) Not at £73! Edited January 10, 2022 by Richard123 4 1
71chally Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 Very nice, will definitely get one, but not a Carrier Air Groups' worth at the price,

It also gives me the time to save a little hard cash to buy one 😗😗😗 I am lucky enough to have a couple 'in stock'. I have built several of the old mould, which I found excellent once you found a way past the awkwardness of some of the basic construction. Once completed, they really look the part; hefty solid machines, just as the real aircraft were. This does look nice, but maybe not sufficiently improved to warrant that price for me. Quite likely you will find a few of the older moulds being sold on for tempting prices. I made one of the new 1/72 kits, having previously made both the earlier mouldings. Good, with lots more detail but hard to build really well, with very tight clearances and some difficulties. 1
wellsprop Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 YEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSS! Does anyone want to buy the old tool bucc off me 😂😂😂 1
AntPhillips Posted January 10, 2022 Posted January 10, 2022 I'll order one at somepoint, but I doubt it will be more than the one at £70+
