Italeri 2022 catalogue - new, reissue, repop, rebox etc.

Well, the 1441 1/72 NF-5 has been listed for the last three years so I'll believe it if and when that Stirling actually is in a store.

Pardon my saying so.

2022 Aircraft range is as uninspiring as Airfix. Still, not a complete loss. The Jaguar is a nice kit and the Stirling and SM-79 are welcome reissues.

Surely the Tu-22M cannot be old Esci kit? 🙄😲

John

It will be.

Still, if it works for others, that's fine by me. I've got something out of it at least

Of course each of us will have different interests, but a 1/72 AMX and a 1/32 MC.202 are far from dull and unimaginative choices. The AMX in particular has never been made in plastic in this scale while the MC.202 will be the first mainstream, "normal" kit of the type in 1/32.

The 1/48 F-35B is also something that many will find interesting, afterall it's one of the very few new real aircraft to fly in the last 10 years or so...

For me, Italeri is the interesting obscure subject company at fair prices.  The Folgore and the AMX are really nice new additions.  Regarding the Tu-22M it is the ESCI kit of course.  This is great news for people not having $150 for the Trumpeter kit.  In the other hand, the real aircraft went through hundreds of modifications since the Russians can´t afford a brand new $300 million bomber...So the kit is still a good kit for building a nice Backfire at a fair price.

Well, Aeroclub did one in 1/72nd but I never managed to get a hold of one.

Caveat for those tending to obediently follow colour callouts - on profile B  FS34092 is not a grey, but rather a dark bluish green as seen on A-10A's in Europe One.

Cheers,

They clearly made an error in the preparing the layout of the illustration, looks a lot like a "copy and paste" job that was not checked properly... that may not be a big issue since most modellers will likely understand that they need a grey there but is still an indication of a sloppy job, something that should have been picked up by someone at some point.

Have to say that the colour indications in general could be debated... of course Italeri is here pushing their own colours but the FS codes indicated are not the one generally considered closer to all those paints. Just looking at the grey, the closest FS for Grigio Mimetico is the darker FS 36231 while FS 36307 is the closest to the later Grigio Azzurro Chiaro.

Well, according to Italeri, Luftwaffe Bf 109F-4's are FS36375 Light Ghost Gray on their lower surfaces.  :D

So ex-Esci 1/72 F-5A promised last year might be re-released this year? Another kit I have been waiting is their 1/72 Invader. For some reason it was not among their Korean War-theme kits? Nor a new Fiat G.50 in any scale.

Cheers,

I'll believe it if and when I see it.

And then proceed to buy several, of course :P
