John Masters
Masked what I needed to and then sprayed it with Humbrol rattlecan Chrome. Shiny shiny. With the masks off you can see what it'll look like. I think a nice even aluminum will offset that shine very nicely. --John

John Masters
OK. One mask off, another on... And I used Vallejo Air Silver for the rest... Correct me if I'm wrong...the prop was wooden, painted black? --John
John Masters
The top wing has been fitted onto the cabane struts. I'll let that set up before adding the interplane pieces. Indeed, this is a safe procedure because I might have to scratch build the interplanetary struts if they are out of whack. Not a big deal, really. --John
John Masters
Interplane struts went in without much bother. \ --John

Mr T
Looks very nice, it was always a very good build. The Fury is a lovely looking aeroplane. I built the AModel kit for a GB in 2020.
John Masters
I neglected to see that I had to paint the rudder and stabilizers glossy black...ooops... Had I done so earlier, I would have made a better job of it. As it is, it looks ok. I'll start a few decals, then the rigging, then the rest of the decals. --John
John Masters
The first round of decals have gone on. Very nice decals, btw...but delicate. --John
Ray S
This is going very well! It was a good save on the paintwork for the tail area. Ray

Actually my dyslexia made me paint the black areas in reverse first...then I fixed it. So yes...a real save!
John Masters
Rigging...I rigged the tail first, using stretched sprue for the stabilizer and rudder lines and monofilament for the structural supports. ...and then used monofilament for all the remaining 'RAF wires' (which aren't really wires...I know...). I'll use sprue for the cables on the landing gear but first I'll add the remaining decals tomorrow. --John

John Masters
Decals...this is a nice set of roundels from the Big Yellow Store. It also has roundels specific for the Siskin, which I will need. On top and the fuselage... And underneath... And that is that. I was worried that the decals weren't settling down enough and feel that the rib detail on the wings is a bit exaggerated. It is, and they eventually did but only with several brushes of solvent. Now...a layer of protective varnish, the wheels/spats, prop, final bit of rigging... --John
John Masters
Ok. I think I might finish this one this afternoon. All I have to do is attach the radio aires from the ridder/fuselage/wing tops...and add a little exhaust staining around the manifolds. Very light, btw...I imagine this aircraft was kept pretty clean. I am pleased with the spats. --John
John Masters
Ok. All done! EZ Line... And done! So there's no confusion...Monofilament for the rigging, EZ Line for the radio antennae. The rest are in the gallery... --John
