Dogtail2
Messerschmitt Bf 109 E-7 flown by Oberleutnant Joachim Müncheberg, 7./JG 26, Gela/Sicily, March, 1941. This is from a recently purchased 'Dogfight Double' boxing which includes a Spitfire Vb. Built as per box except for a mod to correct u/c length and correction to the opening part of the canopy to better represent an E-7, and some diy cockpit enhancements. Tamiya and AK acrylics.

Dogtail2
Thanks for the positive feedback everyone. 5 hours ago, Maginot said: Great model nicely finished. Very effective scenic backdrop. The photos were a bit of a struggle as they were done at night on my desk with a daylight lamp for lighting. The backdrop is a photo of the actual site of Gela airfield, Sicily, from Google maps street view. 8 hours ago, fubar57 said: Well done. Only issues I had were the overly long undercarriage legs which I corrected and a slightly poor fit of the cannon ports in the wing leading edges. jackroadkill
Oh yes, I like that very much! I'm a big fan of that kit and have built a few myself. There may even be one or two (or more....) in the stash awaiting building.
