Trucks in 1/35 are really quite small I think. The Bedford might just be sort of right to carry a large 1/32 fuselage, although it's a 1/24 truck it's on the small side. For comparison, here it sits next to a 1/24 Unimog (crappy photo, sorry). Thank you Jeroen for getting back to me so quickly, and thank you for the photo. Another question if I may, is the load area on the Bedford around 20cm long? and the width? Best Regards Keith.
Noel Smith Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Mpfiend, the difference between 1/24th and 1/32nd scales would be too obvious to do what you are proposing and would look really odd. If anyone you know has a knocked about big old Airfix 1/24th scale Spitfire or something similar that might be better, but you would have to make the load look like a section of one because of the length of the Bedford. Best maybe look for alternative loads that are in the same scale of 1/24th. The only other vehicle scale anywhere near to it would be 1/25th that is close but slightly smaller. HTH.

By the way, something like this might be a good alternative in 1/35, I have one in the stash: https://www.scalemates.com/kits/das-werk-dw35001-faun-l900-hardtop--1265397
Pete in Lincs Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Another lovely build, Jeroen. I must have somehow missed this one back when you first posted it. 1

However, I don't think the AV roe aircraft company would be using German vehicles to move their aircraft between production facilities. 😉 Best Regards Keith.
CrazyCrank Posted January 8, 2024 Posted January 8, 2024 Absolutely gorgeous build ! Your truck is truer than life ! When I saw the first picture; I thought it was the original from which you took inspiration ! Bravo 1

I have also been looking at this model to carry part of a 1/32 scale fuselage, do you think with the scale being 1/24 that it will look too large next to the 1/32 aircraft? Do you know of a similar vehicle in 1/35 or 1/32 scale? Best regards Keith. ICM do a 1/35 Leyland Retriever 2
