Mr T
All of sudden British pre war light planes seem to be in fashion, over the last couple of years we have had a DH60 series, Puss and Leopard Moth.
JWM
I will take one. I was considering scratch conversion of Magister, but the ready one is a good choice! J-W

TEXANTOMCAT
I love the schemes for the civvy versions but the reg letters for 'DAS they whilst bang on for the current Museum example don't seem to be the correct 'period' font for her in the 30s -I havent seen an image for DCF but they look a bit better.... Might SHELL actually be Flt. Lt. "Shell" Bentley? Deffo getting one though! TT Edited January 25, 2022 by TEXANTOMCAT

No idea on photo ref, a quick google didn't throw anything up. The colours have some logic, Shell house colours are red and, yellow. BP green and yellow, Shell Mex & BP Ltd used red, yellow, green & white. Without refs and assuming interpretation of b&w photo's I'd say there's room for interpreting one of the shades as yellow, possibly the registration

Most definitely!!! Both the NZ Options, the Canadian one and of course, the UK options. These have cheered me up no end. Especially I am with a condition. And, the RAAF one will fit in nicely with my DH Moth Minor I have which is also in RAAF colours.

Bitterly disappointed ZK-AFM of the Wanganui Aero Club isn't there, but I'm still excited for the kit!!
Paul J
I've got this RS Models kit of the Maggie with an NZ Civvy reg ZK-AYW . The real aeroplane happens to be on display in the MOTAT collection in Auckland. And its on my to do list!! It will look good alongside the forthcoming kits won't it! 3
k5054nz
It certainly will, bravo Paul! As they're my forte I always enjoy seeing warbird/museum aircraft models.

I can't find one and i suspect none exist. Note the rudder has aero club markings not RAAF fin flash! I have let AZ know their scheme is likely to be spurious unless they find a picture.

Might it be a restored aeroplane and wearing spurious markings as you say.

I don't see any pictures of it even as a restored plane in RAAF markings. There is some evidence the rudder should be two tones of blue not red/white/blue. https://www.goodall.com.au/photographs/chipmunks/chipmunks.html (VH-BWB and K) https://www.airliners.net/photo/Royal-Aero-Club-of-S-A/Victa-Airtourer-100/2768080
