Silverkite
Can you kindly please take the 3d printed CFTs and compare them against common Hasegawa F-16 CFT and tell me if they are pretty much the same? Luigi

Luigi Luigi the Mitsubishi F-2 is larger about 10-15% longer than the normal F-16, let me check as I have the Hasegawa F-16 CFT at least in wonderful 1/72 scale Regards Armando

I've aligned them on top on the F-2 fuselage and they perfectly fit down to the single rivet. https://imgur.com/mqis0Rphttps://imgur.com/a/8azvAbT Luigi
Eric B.
Hello, Sorry to ask but is the F-2A Kai something real or just kind of a what if? I saw information about the Hasegawa kit then searched the internet. All photos showing F-2As with CFTs were models and I could find none showing actual F-2s with CFTs. Cheers Eric B. There's no F-2 Kai in real world and the F-2 hasn't got provisions for CFTs. Also, the Nav/Targeting pod seen on one F-2 example has not actually been adopted by the JASDF. F-2A Super Kai : proposed variant with CFTs (conformal fuel tanks), based on the F-16C Block 60. It was intended to replace the F-4EJ Kai Phantom II. It was rejected when the F-35A Lightning II was chosen. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mitsubishi_F-
Eric B.
Hi Thank you AV O. Does this mean it was not even an upgraded F-2 but actually an F-16. Or was it to be an F-2 modified to receive an F-16 block 60 avionic suite? In any way your reply clarifies the F-2A Kai/F-35 perspective. Cheers Eric B.
