Zigomar
Hi folks. The last of the year! Quite a classic but different from the previous one shown here. I have used the beautiful Aires cockpit but when I did check the stance of the plane, obviously some weight was missing! Fuselage was complete and there was no opening to slide more lead! Then I cut open the guns muzzles, put more lead and glue back everything, putty, sanding etc. Modeling misery at its best! The weak point of the kit is the rather poor wheels bays, the Aires one are great improvements. Using German modeler Andréas Dunda article from HS, I made the exhausts of the warm air on the wings and on the tail. Shorter spinner and broader props blades are from SBS but they do require a lot of surgery. Wheels are from Eduard, great value. I also had a hard time fixing the antennas correctly and only at the end of the photo session did I notice the misalignment of the one in the down left. The last pic shows the antenna back to its proper place. No decals but masks, with the typical "reverse mottling" of RLM76 over RLM75. Best regards to you all! I am adding new pics with the antennas at the correct angle but also to show the details of the warm air exit on the wings and at the tail. Open canopy shows that the Revi box and its refecting glass for the Schräge Muzic are here and that there are no shouldr belts for the radio/radar operator. Cheers to you all. 42E0206B-7FE8-44A4-8F2E-30C3EACD4869_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr A2E1F3A4-A8C6-43B1-BEE3-CAA647C9ABE1_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 44924335-3EB7-4037-90EF-42D994825786_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr B171AC4B-A809-4189-8B4D-BDA68176E593_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr CDA57EA5-E2F4-4314-8C3E-4CA16A2F7EEE_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr A4F353CC-A67F-413A-A706-D987657D89B8_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 3E562572-EA8F-499F-8705-B8E60A6BC3E3_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr D9B50623-B99B-40D4-9E9E-164577A26FD5_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr DE7263B2-F2F4-4FA2-960D-FD08DBFD812C_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 724311FA-475B-4B59-8A48-D920F9EC400C_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr EAC16067-9D05-4590-9C13-8CCD13F995FE_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr D039ED32-767B-435A-92D0-8B7704AB1FF2_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 13B19314-0931-4B5E-B33A-40EED59753FE_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr F7E3ACAB-F297-4283-BF49-380D75D6F46E_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr A2D1850C-574A-4C19-9C7E-0D14CCC6FAF4_1_201_a by jean Barby, sur Flickr 45

Wlad
Gorgeous model. For me it's one of the coolest designs to come out of WW II, and you did it justice. That reverse mottling is great. Cheers, Wlad

Andy Dyck
Hi Jean , that’s amazing! Especially like the wheels, they are looking spot on! Your reverse mottling is first class! Must be a lot of work and the radar antennas seem to be a good investment!! Thx for sharing! Cheers Andy

Yes Master antennas are a must but are not easy to fix to the support arms. Many thanks for your comments too.

mahavelona
Great job on the reverse mottling. What did you use to mask the spots?

Nothing as I work with the airbrush free handed. IMHO hiding the spots will do a fix pattern which is not what reverse mottling is. Best regards.
