CanadaMoe
This will be my first entry to this GB. I don't know about the markings yet. Must research a Mk. IIc without a trop. filter and wearing desert scheme. (Tough order.....)
JOCKNEY
Love those colours ! Best of luck with this one. Cheers Pat
Rabbit Leader
An absolute Matchbox classic if ever there was one and who wouldn't have not wanted to take this kit home after seeing that dramatic Roy Huxley 'Intruder' box art. That low level beat up image is so dramatic and would certainly be my first choice of scheme if I were tackling this kit. Cheers, welcome aboard and best of luck.. CanadaMoe
Just a quick update. Building has been slow..... with the lockdown restrictions here on this side of the Pond... Tough to build with kids at home with online schooling.... Ready to close up and move on. Did a little bit of scratch building in the cockpit area. Don't know how accurate, but just to make it look busy. Didn't want to attempt to construct the fuselage frame in the cockpit area.
Rabbit Leader
Nice cockpit work and every little additional bit counts. Now as long as you know it's in there, that's really all that matters. Cheers.. Dave
JOCKNEY
Great to see this one progressing, you have lots of time in this GB, so no stress. Family time first, then if you're really lucky you might just get a bit of time for yourself ! Cheers Pat
bigbadbadge
Nice choice, never built this one as a youngster, great start. Chris
Rob G
This was the kit that kick-started my life-long affair with Hurricanes. Gotta love those big Hispano-Suizas with the external recoil springs. And that box art - pure "Commando" stuff, innit? Can't wait to see her up and on her wheels!
CanadaMoe
Just a quick update. I've added the exhaust glare shields, made from card stock. Almost ready for the paint booth. I'm hoping the kit decals are still good. I'm going to use the No. 87 Sqn. Night Ops. BE 500/LK-A markings

BE 500/LK-A markings These were repainted into the night intruder scheme just before the Dieppe raid. See here https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235067446-stupid-hurricane-question/ They are notable for being rather scruffily repainted. This is from the thread above. CanadaMoe
Done... More pics in gallery, I missed the memo on the colour and scruffy repaint. I had originally finished it in MSG, so I tried to "scuff" it up by going over the grey with a diluted matt black. Enjoy....
