For this years BlitzenBuild and possibly my last BlitzBuild for the foreseeable future due to a change of job and working days, I will be building this kit

Very kindly bought for me by my good modelling buddy @nimrod54. Apparently something to do with my fondness for a certain pictured primer. 

Dads Army approach, not sure when I will cross the start line.

Thanks dude. Been doing it since middle of September, back to proper trucking as I call it, Artic with 44ft trailer, sleeping in the cab, roaming the UK motorways.  Delivering important things like Xmas tinsel to Scotland.  3 days on 4 off, only downside is my week starts on a Sunday. And to get a Bank holiday Monday off will cost me 3 days holiday.

That is important, how else could @JOCKNEY celebrate a proper (cold, windy) Christmas??

 

Anyway, you'll just have to build something that you can start and finish on a Saturday then 🙂

A little time lapse photo update

A little later, Santa has been assembled ready for painting

Everything is now ready

@nimrod54, prepare for a shock.....

Yes, Santa has been primed in..........White, and his sack Halfords Red primer.......

But don’t worry, normal service has been resumed 

So at 1820 this is where it’s at. pink primer drying and Santa ready for some Red.

After everything that needed to be done yesterday I managed to grab a quick 10 mins to add some red paint and let it dry overnight. 

Heres where I start today

Thanks dude, Santa is painted in Halfords “Fiat Red Orange”, the best match for “Red Arrows” Red.  The tank is Humbrol 19 a much darker shade, therefore nothing to do with the primers

I know. We can't have a Blitzbuild without some eggy fun, so I promise to pick up the baton and enter the P-47 in the first Blitzbuild of the season next year.
