Filing the filler, and adding more to gaps and misalignments.

This is a nice kit, but not perfect.

Using files, craft knife and Milliput every day.

Those little parts on the tile are the hydraulic undercarriage supports that I cannot make fit into position. So they're bin-bound with the dirty tissues.

Can't have enough One Oh Wonders here on BM! Looking very good so far! Which markings are you going to use? IIRC, this boxing comes with TX ANG markings...I'm not too biased. y' understand! Following with interest and notepad at the ready.

No decision made yet re markings.

Thanks for your compliment.

Minimal progress today as most of day was spent hiking and getting rained on in a BIG way.

Hope to finish construction tomorrow.

Thanks for the links.

Surprisingly, the pitot tube has no corresponding socket in the nose cone, so you have to glue it on and prop it up till it sets in place.

That's genuine Roman terracotta on top of the pencil rubber.

The liquid poly made it to the end!

Terracotta. Not teracotta.

Airbrushing done. Now brush painting detail and tidying up.

Lost a transparent piece, next to cockpit canopy. Am philosophical about it.

The missing piece shouldn't be too hard to replace. Its not a hard shape to replicate from plastic packaging.

Nice work, Dave. By the way, your nosewheel has done 180! ;)

Martin

Thanks.

I know, it wouldn't fit under the cockpit assembly the correct way around.

Worked perfectly this way round, though.

When I acquired my kit, I also acquired several sets of decals. Most are for Canadian aircraft.

Decisions, decisions,…

That's it.

I'm not painting these wretched missiles any more.

Wheel wells, air brakes and undercarriage washed.

One last coat of varnish to go, then the tense affair of all-over washing.

Yes, I did lose another piece: alongside the nose wheel.

Bothered?

Not really.
