Enzo the Magnificent
Hi all, I just have to show off a Christmas present. It is the new Bachmann LNWR Precedent. I've had mine on pre-order for over a year. This issue is already sold out but there are still a small number of LMS liveried models available. In total, this cost me £270 which is a crazy price for a OO gauge loco - especially one as small as this. But... just look at it! This has to be the most beautiful thing I have ever seen in my life!

Enzo the Magnificent
Absolutely! The problem is that I have nothing for it to haul. Okay, I've got a rake of LNWR wagons but something with this grace and beauty should never be used on freight turns. I think I'll need to build a rake of LNWR coaches over the next year. Luckily I have a few Ratio kits in The Stash.
Stevejj
You could look for brass kits IF they are still about

The Ratio kits are of the later 50' arc roof coaches which are really more suited to something like the Claughton. London Road Models provide a nice range of 42' arc roof coaches in brass which are far more suited to the Precedent. https://traders.scalefour.org/LondonRoadModels/
Stevejj
I think they may be the old modelers world kits they go together quite well.

Stevejj
Good man but you will need a brake coach every 3/4 coaches to be accurate. I think you can get early bogie coaches too.
Enzo the Magnificent
Thanks for the info. This will be an interesting project - especially the masking for that wonderful livery. It's been a long time since I've built a brass kit.
2996 Victor
Beautiful, Enzo, the LNWR livery is incredibly elegant! I should say ashort stopping train 3-4 coaches, would be all you'd need for this splendid loco. Or an inspection saloon? Cheers, Mark
Enzo the Magnificent
Sam's Trains has a lot to say about this model - mostly about the price. Again and again and again. Yes, it's expensive, But I was very willing to pay the premium price for something so beautiful. It's not often that we see a RTR LNWR loco.
