Hello from New Zealand

Hi all, my wife and I have lived in Canterbury, New Zealand for 10 years now, having moved here from Hampshire, England to be closer to our children and grandkids who live in NZ and OZ.

I am just starting the road back down the rabbit hole that I know this hobby will become. The last model I built would have been in the 60's, so I have a lot of catching up to do 😄

To start my journey I have ordered a Tiger Panhard AML-90, which will hopefully be here next week, and I am sure I will be asking for a lot of advise from the knowlegable members here.

Until then, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas.

Garry

Hi Garry, welcome to the forum from another ex-pat, there's a couple of us hanging around here.

I try and get a visit to Acorn Models booked every time I'm down Chch way. I could spend hours in there....(and the Ducati dealer next door), if I weren't usually being escorted by SWMBO. At least she doesn't let me leave empty handed.

Anyhoo, there's plenty of knowledgeable rabbits around here who can help you navigate down that hole.
Have fun and enjoy.

Cheers :welcome:

Hi Garry welcome from another expat (Lincolnshire- did live in Portsmouth for a while) now Tauramanui.  There are a lot of BM's in NZ.  BM is a great place to pick up new techniques and see some great models.  These is always something new of interest.

Thanks Colin.

I lived in Fareham, so not far away at all.

Yes, it does seem like there are a lot of BM's in NZ.

I'm wading my way through the forum slowly, there's a lot to absorb. 😀
