Sturmovik
Hello guys, Welcome to what may be my third build of 2022. Looking on Google, I stumbled upon some profiles of the Me 262 in Argentinian service. I then remembered Argentina had received several Gloster Meteor Mk.4s from Britain after WW2, so I decided to make a what if Me 262 in Argentinian markings, based on the Meteors. Colour scheme will be of Gloster Meteor Mk.4 C-027 with yellow and blue wing bands and empennage. Decals will come from some spares I have from Condor Decals (numerals) and roundels (Dukel Hobbies). The victim: The profiles: The aircraft I'll attempt doing: The painting instructions from HKM's 1:32 Meteor: The decals for the numerals (other insignia aren't shown): I'm eager on starting this project once I get the model (I already paid for it). Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Edited January 25, 2022 by Sturmovik

Sturmovik
After finishing the C-47, I thought it'd be nice to start this one. Cannon bay: Cannon bay epoxied to the nose metal landing gear well: Cockpit built up: Cockpit and nose gear well glued to oke fuselage half: The gun covers needed a bit of force to make them fit. Horizontal stabilizers and rudder glued: Engines and wings done: Airframe complete:
bar side
That Me-262T-1 set of scheme looks interesting. Not a 262 variant I had come across before. It would look good on a P1099. Not sure if there is a 1/48 P1099 like the Revell 1/72 offering though. Nice work on your 262 so far. Not a great stretch to think of a South American version, but a Kurt Tank design like the Ta183 would surely have been considered, ev3n if it turned in to the IAe 33 in the end. And that to me always looked pretty good.
Sturmovik
1 hour ago, bar side said: That Me-262T-1 set of scheme looks interesting I was actually debating myself on following the one with the all yellow empennage or the Meteor. The latter won though, I wanted to use my blue. 1 hour ago, bar side said: Kurt Tank design like the Ta183 would surely have been considered, Took care of that for you! 1 hour ago, bar side said: Not sure if there is a 1/48 P1099 like the Revell 1/72 offering though I have the Revell kit, eagerly awaiting to build it after my Strike Witches Spitfire Mk.IX. Will be camouflaged though. Or maybe an NMF plane with a blue empennage. Who knows. Hopefully Revell we'll hear the Luft 46 crowd again and release a 1:48 Me P.1099. Or maybe Model Collect.
Marklo
Kurt Tank spent his latter years designing jets; namely the Pulqui for the Argentinians and the Marut for india You can see the TA183 lineage in the Pulqui. If you think about it the 262 was expensive to build and considered almost obsolete by 1945 and was at the edge of its aerodynamic design, as well as being pretty much optimised as a point interceptor, so it would make sense to develop a new second generation design rather than the 262. Look at early jet development by the former allies there are plenty of elements of the German second generation designs present, but little or nothing of the first generation (me262, he162, Ar234 etc)

Sturmovik
Just finished painting and decalling the plane. Decalling the left side was no problem, but the right side gave me fits. First, I added a 72, then a 27 (forgot to place the C and 0), and then I correctly placed the C-027. Luckily I had some spares, otherwise I may have unpainted the model and gone back to the German scheme.
