Desktop/WorkbenchDrawers

Hi,

After a set of drawers that can sit on the workbench and hold my tools.

Not looking for something Uber organised, just something reasonably sized that I can put all my knives/blades in this drawers, files in this drawer, sanding sticks in this drawer etc.

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Nigel

Two things I use are kitchen trollies and a 'shelf' I got in pound stretcher.

Kitchen trolly; like this one, I have several with different things on them eg, one has my moulding stuff, another has 'kit in progress', another has boxes of aftermarket things. One fits under the knee hole of my modelling desk. When I got mine they were only £3..99 each!!

Shelf. it has fold down legs and it can sit on the top of the desk. I use one on my leather crafting desk to hold the tools in use. Its a wee bit like this one but the top is more of a tray shape

Something like these?

No, they look too small.  I’m looking something to hold tools, but not precise size, more like a tray that I can throw all my files in - it’s not that I want to be able to precisely know where a particular file is, just to be able to say “all my files are in this tray/drawer and I can rummage through and find what I’m looking for.

Hi Nigel,

do you have any room under your desk?

These cheap drawer units can be really useful.

I already have pedestals, just looking for something to sit on the workbench so that my primary tools are at hand.

Something like this

but a bit nicer.

Maybe I try these, glue them and sand all the tabs down flush.

Cheers,

Nigel

I'm a big fan of the Hobbyzone modular system, similar idea to the EBMA ones @Pete F mentioned:
