blueYeti
Started my Christmas Holiday ! One more kit on my bench. I was a little bit confused because I bought 1/48 Camel, then saw 1/72 on the manual instruction🙄 lot of marks inside.... and I did not expect this quality... I hope matching parts will fit better, there are lots of delicate pieces. cya 1
AliGauld
I've just had a look at the sprues from my Camel and Co. boxing and the top of the fuselage is a lot smoother than yours. I would be getting in touch with Eduard about that. Cheers, Alistair 1
Antb
Wowzers, that's rough. I'm building one at the moment and the fuselage on mine is nothing like yours. As has been said send eduard an email and I'm sure they will replace this for you. They're normally pretty good at sending replacements Edited December 23, 2021 by Antb
blueYeti
Will try to fix it. Push rod look oversized, I swap engine for resin parts..... TTFN
blueYeti
My first plywood paint😋 Surfaced XF-78, next Burnt Umber brush and coat Yellow X-24. Next time I use White paint. I changed Vickers gun for resin parts and wait for more. SWMBO start asking about parcels.....🤣 cya

blueYeti
I added few wire lines and brass pipe fuel gauge. Now time to close fuselage....🤪 Instrument panel did little upgrade and will soon use the decals from Airscale. Eduard colour PE part is too flat I wont use them.🧐 cya
Dogtail2
You should remove the tube coming from the top of the fuel tank. A common fantasy feature on Camel kits.
blueYeti
Obviously! thanks mate, filler pipe is to long maybe I'm blind🤣. Reference photo show tank with cap.

No problem. The brass filler cap is screwed directly onto the tank. There is no filler tube on the original. I don't know why kit makers continually perpetuate the myth that there is a long filler tube. Anyway, its only a minor point if you want accuracy. Keep up the good work.
dov
Nice job so far. My wife is on the same type right now, but from WNW in 32. How are your ideas about rigging? If you need advice, so let us know! Happy modelling
blueYeti
Thanks chaps ! I wonder about RAF flat rigging, all references for 1/48 scale welcome. I did decals on instrument panel, macro kill them 🤣 In 3x zoom is very gooooood! cya
dov
Hallo The flat rigging I omitt. Because if twisted you have a mass. By double wires it is too dangerous. Look at my rigging threads in the forum. Three threads from eylets , rigging and tubes. From me it is essy to find in the profil.
