BritJet
Instantly recognisable as a member of the MiG-21 family, the Ye-166 was a fictitious designation for the Ye-152-1 in order to register the speed records without disclosing the real designation. I've built a few MiG-21s but this seemed more like 1/48 than 1/72 and was a lot bigger than I expected. Built straight from the box but care is needed to work out the exact configuration to be modelled as there are a few options and the instructions are a bit confused/confusing. With the Ye-50 to show the size difference Thanks for looking. Steve
Duncan B
Wow, they just put the blueprints for the Mig-21 on the photocopier and hit 'enlarge' didn't they! Duncan B

SAT69
I didn't realize the Ye-166 was that big. Very nicely assembled and painted model!
foxhandybread
Wow, that's a monster! A very pointy monster. Really nice build and I'm now looking this up on Wikipedia, cheers!
BritJet
Thanks all for the kind comments. It certainly is very noticeably bigger than a MiG-21 when you have the two together. 23 hours ago, Flankerman said: The real thing is on display at Monino, Moscow......
