Jersey European BAe 146-200

Recommended Posts

This started out as a battered travel agent display model in SABENA markings with a few broken parts and very scratched. Not a kit but a fibreglass model probably by Space Models. After repairs and a couple of coats of gloss white I drew the Jersey European markings in CorelDraw and printed them on my inkjet printer.

Great rescue/refurbishment job!

I have always loved seeing the big fibreglass replicas in travel agents and airline offices.

They are impressive to look at (especially recalling Boeing 747's and similar aircraft with length and wingspan around a metre or two)!

Someone wealthier than me has a great collection of these aircraft, I'm sure.

I wish I had this in my collection. 😎👍

Along with watching things like Stingray, Thunderbirds and Captain Scarlet, seeing the perfectly finished and huge travel agent models was how I got into modelling as a kid. They are very collectible and fetch very high prices.

Really nice refurb.

I do like to see a passenger plane wheels up and mounted on a stand.

Not something I normally do but for me this type of model really needs to be on a stand and it helps to show it off!
