That is absolutely brilliant!

 

I bet that took a lot skill and patience to put together, but what a great display piece.

You have done a wonderful job on that kit.  I can see lots and lots of extra details you have added.  I part built one of those kits back in the day and I have to say that is one superb build of a, well, challenging kit. 👍  Love to see more photos if you have them to share.

I changed some aspects of the model to bring it closer to the original, such as:-

Replacing the incorrect supplied scalloped wooden trailing edges with wire using aircraft locking wire.

Corrected the vertical position of the joystick and rudder bar with respect to the cockpit floor.

Made rib anti twist tapes

Replaced the supplied wooden ammo box with a new one of correct size/shape made from card.

Made forward cockpit metal panels.

Added missing leading edge ply made from Obechi veneer.

Dr1 experts will spot some things still missing, but I needed a break.
