IGKent Posted December 15, 2021 Share Posted December 15, 2021 (edited) Hi, all! My latest microscale model. It’s Soviet armored personnel carrier. As usual, small ZVEZDA kit. BTR-80 was designed in the early 80s as further development of the previous APC BTR-70. Armament – 14,5 mm machinegun KPVT (500 rounds) and twin machinegun 7,62 mm PKT (2000). mounted in turret 6 smoke grenades of the “TUCHA” launch complex 902V. Engine – KAMAZ-7403 with turbocharger (260 h.p.) Max. speed on highway 85 km/h, on cross country 30-40 km/h. Speed on the water -9. Highway range - 600 км. Crew – 3 per. + 7troopers. As usual the model makes with some changes My changes: - added all handrails, footrests on the hull and loops on turret - modified exhaust system - drilled hole in barrel machinegun KPVT - added all headlight and RS antenna - modified PKT machine gun (changed to a needle) - added rearview mirrors - added some elements on the hull (spare parts box, weapon covers. saw) PAINTING – AKAN enamel colors WASHING – MIG (dark wash) WEATHERING – MIG and TAMIYA pigments VARNISHIES – matt TAMIYA and gloss - FUTURE I present BTR-80 b/n 132 from the motorized rifle regiment of the Soviet army Enjoy watching!
