Roman Schilhart
Dear fellow Britmodellers, this is my 1/72 Sword Spitfire XVIe in markings of 302. (Polish) Squadron. Painted with Mr.Hobby acrylics, photographs by Wolfgang Rabel. The 1/72 Sword kit was released before the Eduard kit came out. It does not match the quality and finesse, but builds into an acceptable replica. I added Brengun photo etch set and Master gun barrels. Thank you for your interest. Best greetings from Vienna, Roman 49
Sky Keg
I give you plenty of credit Roman. When the Eduard Mk.XVI is available, you chose the Sword version. By no means an easy kit to construct which reveals your impressive skills making this Sword Spitfire look authentic. Mike
72modeler
What Mike said, Roman; I would be hard-pressed to tell your Sword kit from the Eduard one- very nice work! Mike 1

Madmaks
Awesome build and the Sword kit does build into a beautiful model as you have shown, but I don't recollect Eduard coming out with a a XIV as you mentioned.

lunarhighway
Very nice build, it seems this kit is more than detailed enough for the scale, i haven't seen details like the slipper tank hooks on many other kits in this scale! Indeed the xvi might be the the best looking spit if the entire series. Where, to me, the IX introduced the most balanced overall proportions of all the spits, the bubble canopy if the XVI adds to that a convertible or coupé like flare if it where a car. always good to see another spit
Pedro1
That's a lovely Spit, Roman. What's not to like of a low back Merlin engined variant 🙂 Peter
