dnl42
This is coming along nicely! I have one of these in the stash so I'm glad I can follow along! Plus, I always like to follow along on Grumman aircraft.  w.r.t. the drop tank. Per NF-92, Grumman F6F Hellcat: Quote  Service Change #83, issued on 9 April 1945 provided the means to install the Navy's new universal 150 gallon drop tank on the F6F series of aircraft. The change was applicable to F6F-3/3E/3N BuNos 04775 to 04958, 08798 to 09047, 25721 to 26195, 39999 to 43137 and 65890 to 66244. F6F-5/5E/5N BuNos 58000 to 58999, 69992-72991. and 77295 to 79787. Grumman was responsible for aircraft 79788 and subsequent. British Hellcats were FN-320 to FN-449, JV-100 to JV-324, JW-700 to JW-899, JX-670, JX-739 to JX-999, and JZ-775 to JZ-994.  The weight change was a 7.8 lb increase located 122" aft of the reference datum. These tanks were rarely seen on F6Fs but were used on F7Fs, F8Fs and post-war aircraft like the Grumman AF Guardian.   HTH -- dnl
Reini78
Only ordnance my dad will do are bombs. The kit rockets and mounts are one piece. Found some rocket mounts with rails (which you see too on French Hellcats) in the sparesbox. Can´t tell from which kit they are, possibly a P-51. For chipping, my dad sprayed some metal and some primer on. DSC_0002 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr  and finally the blue camo, done with Gunze H54 Navy Blue and a bit of normal blue DSC_0001 by grimreaper110, auf Flickr
