After a few months away from the bench, I decided I needed a quick win so I pulled out the little Fine Molds Ohka. Lovely little kit.

OOB except for a few small additions:

PE seat and gun sight from spares box
Pitot from Albion tubing and guitar string

Some minor riveting
AK Real Colors paints

The office is pretty spartan, but that's on par with the real thing. Not much needed for a straight dive...

Beautiful work!

 

A friend of mine used to have of of those in his garage, he restored it and donated it to a museum (NMUSAF).

I think we need the rest of that story. How did someone end up with an Ohka in his garage?

Not sure how he got that one. He searches for wrecks worldwide and has been sucessful many times. This is a dated article from just over 10 years ago and mentions the Ohka.

I know he recently found the wreckage of a FW-189. I don’t know the status, I believe he located this one in Poland.
