Hello,

having enjoyed this forum for quite some time now as a guest, I thought it was about time to sign up and become a member. 

I started modelling in the early '70s, mostly Matchbox kits in those days as far as I remember. Study, work and raising a family 'interfered' with spending too much time on the 'one true hobby' over the years. Nowadays other hobbies like soaring and photography take up much of my spare time, but I try to finish a kit from time to time, getting motivated by the builds you guys share on this forum. I build 1/72 and 1/48 aircraft, very often WWII. I will try and post some of the results in the near future.

Hello Richard …  from the windy city of Chicago USA, Im mostly an aircraft builder myself. Just a heads up, there is a Matchbox group build starting in early January that will run for 5 months. Everyone is welcome to visit or participate.

Welcome along Richard.  Long time since I have been to Utrecht.  I can remember going to the railway museum when I was young.  I did lots of Matchbox kits too - aircraft, military vehicles, even ships.  I now mainly do 1/48 jets.  Looking forward to seeing your work
